WHY IT COMES AS A PAIR
Your car has two of these gaps.
Both of them run along the console, and both of them catch things. That's why this is sold as a pair — covering one side and leaving the other open just moves the problem across.
The back seat doesn't have this kind of gap; the rear bench meets the back of the console with no channel between them. There's a narrower gap on the door side of each seat, but you can reach that one by opening the door, so almost nobody bothers.

The core is shaped memory foam, so it compresses to whatever width the gap happens to be and pushes back gently to hold itself there. No clips, no adhesive, nothing that marks the trim.
The surface is suede. Up close it has a nap to it — it catches light the way the seat does, rather than sitting there looking like an accessory bolted on afterwards.

These wrap individual cushions. If yours are attached, there's nothing to slide the cover onto — and that's the number one reason people send things back.

Covering the seats leaves the arms and back in the original colour. For a complete change of look you need a full slipcover, not this.
3 You need something a cat can't claw through.
