WHAT ACTUALLY HAPPENS

One night, hour by hour.

Your body temperature isn't flat overnight. It drops as you fall asleep, bottoms out around 4am, then climbs before you wake. Thick sleepwear holds a fixed amount of heat in — which means it's wrong for most of the night.

THE NUMBER THAT MATTERS

Half a millimeter.

Cross-section, drawn to scale. Flannel pajamas run about four times thicker; fleece about eight. That thickness is doing something all night whether you need it or not.

THE PART PEOPLE GET BACKWARDS

This isn't about being warmer. It's about not swinging.

Most people fix a cold bedroom by adding thickness, then spend the night correcting for it — covers off at 2am, covers back on at 4am, awake at both.

A thin layer that holds a little warmth and moves moisture away doesn't fight the room or the comforter. It just narrows the swing.

Turn the heating off overnight and still get into a warm bed. That's the whole idea, and it's the same reason it works for people who run hot.

WHO BUYS THIS

Three different reasons, same set.

Woman wearing thin sleepwear in bed
RUNS WARM

You kick the covers off

Usually somewhere around 2am, then you're cold twenty minutes later. The comforter isn't the problem — the layer underneath it is.

COLD BEDROOM

The heating goes off at night

Because leaving it on all night is expensive. This is the layer that means you don't have to choose between the power bill and getting into a warm bed.

BEFORE YOU ORDER

The questions people actually ask.

Is it too tight to sleep in?

It sits close but it doesn't compress — the stretch goes four ways, so it moves when you turn over. If you're between sizes, take the larger one.

Won't something this thin just be cold?

On its own in a cold room, yes — it's a layer, not a coat. Under a comforter it holds enough warmth to get you comfortable without holding the heat your body is trying to shed later in the night. That's the trade it's built around.

Can I wear it as a base layer under clothes too?

Yes. It started life as a base layer, and at 0.5 mm it disappears under a shirt. Plenty of people buy one set for each job.

Does it pill or go baggy after washing?

Wash cold and line dry and it holds its shape. The thing that damages it is fabric softener — it coats the fibers and slows the moisture movement, which is the part you're paying for.

Is it warm enough for a real winter?

It's a sleeping layer, not outerwear. Under normal winter bedding it's enough for most bedrooms. In an unheated room in a northern winter, most people add socks.

How long does delivery take?

3–7 business days anywhere in the lower 48, shipping free. Tracking emailed the day it leaves the warehouse.

What if the size is wrong?

Tell us and we'll send the right one — you don't ship the first set back. If it's still not right after that, full refund within 60 nights.

Narrow the swing.
